Seat of Birbal @ Diwan -E- Aam..

The first pic is the seat of great Birbal, one of the most intelligent courtier who was very close to the King Akbar. He was given a seat equal to that of the King himself. The background you see is the Meena bazar.
We go to the Mall for shopping, but the Mall came to the palace for the royal ladies..Akbar built this Meena Bazar for his ladies of 'Harem' to shop, trade valuable goods with traders from all over the world. No male member was allowed inside this complex but the King. The shops will be opened once in a month and every New Year day.

King's alarm.

The door you see here is suppose to be the bedroom of the King Akbar. The hall next to it is made of beautiful carved pillars of red sandstone.The wall adjacent to the bedroom from this hall has a finely carved mesh type stones at the floor level.  Women wearing anklets that makes pleasant tinkling sound will walk thru this hall in the morning to wake up the King!!!.Mmmm..an alarm that cant be hit upon I guess..or tough to hit perhaps..

Palace of Jahangir.

This is a red sand stone building built by Akbar for his son Jahangir. Later modified by Jahangir himself to suit his Hindu wife, Jodha, a Rajput princess. The three stars @ the entrance denotes his three wives. Also the star indicates the Christian wife and the lotus the Hindu wife. The arch in the middle for his muslim wife..some life.

A day out- Seetha on her own.

This shot I took @ Vaduvoor Ramar temple. It was late in the evening, and an auspicious day of Aadi Vellikizamai. As we waited for the Battar to arrive, we saw the preparation of purappadu, with full fledged music(nayanam) and other formalities, like goshti and prabandham chanting etc, But I was mildly surprised  when  only Seetha was decorated and carried outside in to the mandapam while the holy brothers were left standing alone inside the sanctum. Something I have not heard of. Anyway was so pleased to see the better half of the Lord having her timeout royally

நெற்குன்றம் , கரிவரதராஜ பெருமாள்

நெற்குன்றம் , கரிவரதராஜ பெருமாள் - ஒர் அரிய அனுபவம். பகல் வெளிச்சத்தில் சாதாரண மாக தோன்றும் பெருமாள் , திரை இட்டு நெய் தீப ஒளியில் கண்கள் மலர்ந்து, நம்மை காண்பது போல் தோன்றுவது அபூர்வமான ஆனந்தம் இது சிற்பியின் கை வண்ணமாகவே இருந்தாலும், பெருமாள் கண்கள் மலர்ந்து நம்மை காணும்போது மனம்  நிறைந்து போகிறது அண்ணாநகரின்  மிக அருகில் இருந்தும் இத் தனை வருஷங்களாக இதை பற்றி ஏதும் அறியாமல் இருந்துவிட்டேன் கடவுளை காணவும் நேரமும் காலமும் கூடி வரவேண்டும் போல் இருக்கிறது சுமார் 300-400 வருஷம் பழமை வாய்ந்த இந்த கோவில் மூலஸ்தானம் மட்டும் கட்டிடமாக இருக்க, சுற்றிலும் எந்த வசதியும் இல்லாமல் , கோவில் என்று  தெரியும்படி எந்த அடையாளமும் இல்லாமல் இருப்பதை பார்க்கும்போது கொஞ்சம் வருத்தமாக இருந்தது .ஆனால் திருப்பணி நடந்து வருகிறது.செவ்வாய் தோறும் குறை தீர்க்க கூட்டு பிரார்த்தனை நடக்கிறது வேண்டுதல்களை எழுதி வைத்தும் , பெருமாள் காலடியில் வைத்து பூஜை செய்து பிரசாதம் அனுப்பும் முறையும் உள்ளது.கேட்டதை தந்து அருளும் வரப்ரசாதியான வரதராஜ பெருமாள் சகலவிதமான வயிற்று நோய்களையும் தீர்த்து வைப் பவராக நம்பபடுகிறது

Life @ high altitude. Living at the foot of the giant Himalayas and at the banks of Glacier river which is considered to be the most holiest of all, is something special I guess.

This is one of many beautiful valleys in the Alps region as we drive from Venice to Austria (Innsbruck)
The shots were murky, as they are thru glass window of the coach, and not very sharp 'coz of the moving vehicle. Still I was clicking randomly, whenever the coach slowed down. Thanks to Photomatrix pro which helped me to restore the scene decently.
